Technology and appliance retailer Noel Leeming is getting into the smart home market and has launched an experiential pop-up store at Westfield Newmarket to show shoppers the latest devices in situ.

The Noel Leeming Smart Home is a 100sqm apartment, featuring fully integrated smart home appliances in kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, laundry, living and office areas.

Tim Edwards, Noel Leeming CEO, said the new store will enable New Zealanders to see for themselves how technology and appliances can be integrated to make their lives easier.

“Think wi-fi enabled heat pumps, smart door-locking and security systems, lighting, placing an online supermarket order from the door of your fridge, and controlling the functionality of your home, whether you’re there or not,” Edwards said.

“Our Smart Home is set up so our customers can walk through, and imagine their homes enabled in the same way.”

Located on the third level of Westfield Newmarket, the new Noel Leeming pop-up displays leading products from Amazon, Samsung, Philips, Ring, TP-LINK, Bose, Vodafone, HP and more.

The pop-up will stay open until February 2020.
