Clothing retailer Superette International will bring a number of international brands to New Zealand for the first time when it opens its new store in Newmarket next month.

The store, which will be the company’s sixth outpost, will open on April 4 at Kent Street. A seventh store will be opened at Commercial Bay in September.

The 135sqm store will offer customised styling advice and services for men and women from the store’s team of in-house stylists including founding director Rickie Dee.

According to Superette, the new space will feature acclaimed international menswear and womenswear labels such as James Perse, Janessa Leone, Maria Black and Rough Studios.

“The space created by Melbourne’s DesignOffice will be a truly sensory experience complete with styling suites, luxe velvets and draped curtains,” the retailer said. “Bespoke parquet floors, reclaimed timber and textural cast concrete intertwine with unique surprises in DesignOffice’s signature raw yet polished aesthetic.”

Dee said the new Superette International allows them to extend their current designer offering in a “new and exciting environment.”

“The international stores will very much be a new experience for our customers but will be in keeping with our brand and it’s history,” he said.

Superette opened in 2001 and has five existing stores in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.
