Parcel sending from increased sites

Scott JenynsFastway Courier customers can make use of Parcel Connect, a new parcel drop-off and pick-up service.

Fastway has got buy-in from a wide variety of local retail outlets such as convenience stores, service stations, and newsagents to operate as Parcel Connect agents, allowing customers to send and collect their parcels from one of over 150 locations across New Zealand. For even further convenience, Parcel Connect agents operate outside the traditional 0900 to 1700 restrictions seven days a week and are in locations which are easily accessible to customers.

Scott Jenyns, CEO at Fastway Couriers NZ, says the introduction of this service will hugely benefit customers, especially during the busy Christmas period.

“With Parcel Connect, customers are offered an alternative to post or traditional courier services by allowing them to conveniently send and collect their parcels from their local Parcel Connect agent at a time that suits them. This enables customers to skip the queues while also having the added benefit of being able to purchase other essential items while in store. Parcel Connect is available year round and is particularly useful during busy periods such as Christmas,” says Jenyns.

Customers can arrange to send a parcel online by visiting the Parcel Connect website, following the instructions and dropping off their parcel at their local Parcel Connect location.

Williamson Avenue Superette in Auckland has been a Parcel Connect agent since September 2015. Owner Shantilal Prema says: “Parcel Connect is a great way for us to offer additional services to our customers. People are now coming in to our store to pick up groceries as well as collect or send their parcels at the same time. Feedback so far has been really positive and the customers like that they can now collect their parcels after hours and on the weekends.”
