Newmarket home to Stolen Girlfriends Club

The store, which was designed by Fearon Hay Architects, has retained the feel of a timeless grungy store that stays true to its rock and roll aesthetic.

The materials and colour palette chosen work to complement the garments and act as a striking backdrop to the brand’s seasonal prints.

The founders of the boutique brand, Dan Gosling, Luke Harwood and Marc Moore, are a New Zealand based trio with backgrounds in surfing. Their approach to the fashion business is as relative outsiders as they have no professional design training and began simply by making clothes for themselves and their friends.

Printed T-shirts formed the backbone of the label in its early stages but today the bran spans T-shirts and denim, including its new Stolen Denim line, jewellery and the more directional seasonal fashion collections for men and women with an underlying feeling of rock and roll delinquency combined with wearable sportswear.

Using a myriad of luxe materials including gloss black steel, glass, volcanic black rock, and black resin, the store offers a floating rosewood racking system and full mirror changing rooms. Windows at both ends create optimal flow and ideal lighting for the store and open up a visible workspace where customers can see online order packing happening directly from store.
