Italian luxury jewellery house Bulgari is to launch in New Zealand with its first store opening in Auckland’s Queen St.

Spanning a 260sqm area, Bulgari New Zealand will feature “contemporary Roman” aesthetics and architecture. The store will offer a full collection of fashion, jewellery, watches and fragrance. The brand will employ 11 staff for the local store.

“New Zealand is increasingly a precious treasure chest for the world of luxury as one of the countries with the best results for the main international retailers and an important positive perspective,” Jean-Christophe Babin, MD of Bulgari, told the NZ Herald.

Babin said the brand has been eyeing New Zealand as its next destination for many years.

A few years ago, the brand began looking at opportunities to launch in the country. He said he is confident the brand will be well-received in the market.
