Oyster Group appoints new retail leasing executive

Oyster Group Belinda Corder KrugerThe Oyster Group has appointed Belinda Corder Kruger as its retail leasing executive, where she will be responsible for retail tenant leasing and tenancy mix planning for Oyster managed properties throughout New Zealand.

Kruger brings nearly 20 years of retail property experience to her role with Oyster. After graduating from Massey University with a Bachelor of Business Studies degree in Valuation and Property Management, she registered as a Valuer in Auckland before heading to Hong Kong where she worked with Savills for five years, sourcing prime locations for luxury brands and multi-national retailers.

She has also worked with Marks & Spencer in the management of their retail property portfolio. Kruger renegotiated occupancy arrangements for their Hong Kong property portfolio of stores, resulting in a savings of HK$450 million which allowed Marks & Spencer to roll out a growth strategy in Taiwan and China.

When Kruger returned to New Zealand in 2013, she worked with RCG where she primarily focussed on portfolio management and engagement with international retailers as a senior projects manager.

At Oyster, Kruger will be working across a range of retail assets including The Plaza at Whangaparoa, Kelston Shopping Centre, Morrison Square in Nelson and Dress-Smart Hornby in Christchurch.
