Westfield centre closed amid water outage

Westfield AlbanyA burst water pipe at in Albany forced the closure of Westfield Albany on Friday and Saturday.

The centre was closed as a result of the failure of the mains water supply at 6pm on Friday night, after the pipe burst at 5pm.

Trade was also affected on Saturday, with most stores closed, with the exception of Kmart and New World.

Portoloos were brought to the centre on Saturday to compensate for the loss of bathroom facilities.

It is understood water supply has now been restored to the area and Westfield Albany has resumed trade as per usual.
