Temperate trends for weekly spend

 

visa, credit card, spending, card, paymentOverall spending trends on BNZ credit and debit cards are being described as temperate by the BNZ Marketview report for the week ending September 28 2104.

Increases of just 0.61 per cent were reported compared with the same week last year, with transaction volumes up 1.89 per cent.

Spending was up 1.2 per cent, compared with the same 30 day period in 2013.

There was an increase in non-food consumables, with spending up 2.8 per cent from the same week last year.

The leading retailers were hardware/homewares, sports and camping retailers and department stores continuing to make a good contribution to the quarter’s solid performance.

This week saw furniture and flooring retailers with a spending that was up 8.7 per cent from the same week in 2103.

Bedding and carpeting demonstrated the most growth.
