Farro Fresh, the food retail chain, has chosen Newmarket to open its eighth store later this year.
Located at 480 Broadway, in a site previously occupied by Liquorland, Farro Newmarket will provide 70 on-site car parks, three entrances from Broadway and Mahuru Street, and access to northern and southern motorway routes.
“Newmarket is a fantastic hub for shopping, dining and entertainment. We know the ease of being located on Broadway will really appeal to residents,” said Garth Sutherland, CEO of Farro.
Sutherland said Farro works with independent producers in New Zealand and distributes specialist products to consumers in Auckland. The expansion will increase suppliers’ distribution opportunities.
The Newmarket store will carry a product range consistent with other Farro locations. It includes an in-house fishmonger and butcher, as well as fresh produce and prepared meals from Farro Kitchen.
The central deli will serve coffee from Allpress Espresso, matcha, salads, on-site-prepared sandwiches and baked goods from local bakeries. The store will also stock domestic and imported cheese and charcuterie. Farro distributes products from more than 500 suppliers in New Zealand and overseas, including brands and restaurants such as Daily Bread, House of Chocolate, Cassia and Gemmayze Street.
The Friends of Farro loyalty program and promotional activities will also be available at the store once it opens.
