Foodstuffs North Island has opened a new Gilmours Cash ‘n Carry store in Napier to allow easier access to wholesale products for local hospitality and food services.

The new store has opened at 39 Edmundson St, Onekawa, following the success of its existing warehouse that has served the region for the past two years.

“We’re proud to invest in a local wholesale hub that gives hardworking chefs, business owners and community groups faster, easier access to what they need to deliver for their customers,” said Chris Quinn, CEO of Foodstuffs North Island.

Customers will have seven-day access to a range of over 4500 products, including foodservice essentials, bulk goods, and cleaning supplies, along with the company’s existing delivery service.

“We’re making it even easier for anyone running a food operation, from rest homes and bakeries to sports clubs, schools and marae, to get in, stock up and keep going,” said Peter Blackwell, owner-operator of Gilmours Hawke’s Bay.

Blackwell, a member of the Foodstuffs community for over 13 years, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro last year with his son, raising $119,000 for the Foodies foundation – a charity supporting Foodstuffs team members and their families during tough times.
