Copper Branch, the Canadian restaurant chain, is to expand into New Zealand and Australia with a first restaurant planned for Melbourne late this month.
Copper Branch offers plant-based cuisine, with a focus on sustainability. Its meals are aimed at offering healthy, quickly-prepared, convenient meals inspired by cuisines around the world.
“Copper Branch’s delicious take on plant-based meals is a great fit for Melbourne’s diverse foodie landscape and we look forward to opening more locations in the near future that help our customers eat healthily and feel better about the food that they eat,” said Peter Mammas, president and CEO of Foodtastic, which bought the chain last year.
Trish Paterson, brand VP at Copper Branch confirmed the chain will soon launch in New Zealand.
“Not only are we confident that guests will enjoy an exciting new plant-based experience, but we have carefully tweaked the menu to ensure we account for the local tastes of the Australian and New Zealand markets,” he said.
Copper Branch, which was founded in Montreal in 2014, now has 50 locations in markets including Quebec, Ontario, Alberta, and the US.
