Woolworths’ ballooning underpayments muddy a strong half

In its half-year results yesterday, Australia’s largest private employer and owner of Countdown supermarkets Woolworths Group declared that it found another $144 million in staff underpayments through its own payroll system review – bringing the running total to around $550 million.
