Kathmandu has unveiled a new bold look in its refurbished store on Wellington’s Willis Street.

The Kiwi outdoor retailer has collaborated with New Zealand artist, Sean Duffel, to create a bright and colourful store exterior inspired by local flora and fauna. The artwork is featured throughout the entire store, from shopfront and internal staircase through to its fitting rooms.

“The design is an evolution of our existing concept to better represent our new brand positioning,” the company said in a social media post.

The revamped store also presents additional interior elements, including a digital photobooth, water refill station, and community board with wireless charging stations.

“We hope when experiencing the new space and seeing our latest products our customer will be inspired to #Getoutthere,” said Abigail Wasmer, store design & development manager at Kathmandu. “As we all know, when you are outside you feel better on the inside.”
