“The eagle has landed”, Australia’s Health Minister Greg Hunt told reporters in Canberra on Monday, announcing the arrival of the first batch of Pfizer vaccines in the country. Containing more than 142,000 doses, the shipment not only marks the start of the biggest immunisation program in Australian history, but also the biggest logistics effort since World War II, according to supply chain experts.
