Ben & Jerry’s is to open its first permanent physical store in Wellington this November.

The Ben & Jerry’s store will be located on Cuba St in the city’s CBD, taking over a part of a recently redeveloped heritage building. The store will offer the brand’s most popular treats, including scoops of chocolate chunks and swirls, cookie dough ice cream and the all new Dough-Licious Pizza.

“It’s been a tough year for most businesses but it’s also been very positive to see continuous growth for the Ben & Jerry’s franchise network – especially in New Zealand,” said James Young, head of franchise sales and development at DC Strategy.

“It’s incredible to think that the new Wellington scoop shop marks the third franchisee to join the herd, over the last year.”

The launch will bring Ben & Jerry’s store numbers in Australia and New Zealand to 39. The brand launched a pop-up store at the Wellington Airport last year.
