NZ dollar declines

The New Zealand dollar dipped Wednesday, trading at 66.50 US cents, down from yesterday’s 66.85 US cents.

The local currency was in a good place in the beginning of the week as the local economic outlook stacks up well compared to the rest of the world.

By the end of last week, the local currency was at 66.70 US cents. Its US counterpart had been nursing losses as investors worry about the damage the Covid-19 outbreak is bringing to the US economy.
