NZ dollar declines

The New Zealand dollar has fallen Thursday, trading at 64.13 US cents down from yesterday’s 64.82 US cents.

On Tuesday, the kiwi was at 64.74 US cents and on Monday it was at 64.57 US cents.

The local currency surged ahead in the previous days while the US dollar fell as fears of a second wave of COVID-19 did little to dampen investors’ risk appetite.

But the local currency is down today after the Reserve Bank of New Zealand warned that “significant economic challenges remain”.
