Harman Grubiša closes business

New Zealand womenswear label Harman Grubiša announced it is closing shop.

The designer fashion label posted on its Instagram and Facebook accounts that “after much consideration, we here at HG have decided to close the doors on our brand. Time for a new chapter.”

The Auckland-based designer duo Madeleine Harman and Jessica Grubiša entered the fashion scene in 2014 and opened its first store in Ponsonby in 2015.

In October last year, the retailer posted on social media that it was having a Spring clear-out sale as they prepare to relocate.

Last week, Harman Grubiša posted the announcement on its store closure and thanked its followers and customers for their continued support.

“We wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has a piece of HG hanging in their wardrobe, to all who’ve followed and supported the brand, and to all those we’ve met and worked with along the way. We’ve loved dressing you. HG x”

Inside Retail contacted the retailer for comment, but did not receive a response by the time of publication.
