American lifestyle footwear retailer will open its first store in South Island on August 26 at the Westfield Riccarton mall in Christchurch.
The new 140sqm store will showcase over 400 styles of Skechers shoes, including the latest Skechers Burst and Skechers Go Flex ranges.
The company stated they were thrilled to be expanding to the South Island following the increasing popularity of their three Auckland-based concept stores.
The first New Zealand Skechers concept store opened in November 2014.
“The diverse range of sports, running, walking and leisure styles for women, men and kids, means the Skechers Riccarton store will have a shoe for everyone. From the much-loved and popular GoWalk styles, to the on-trend Mark Nason’s for men and Twinkle Toes Light-Ups for kids,” the company announced.
Skechers is known for its celebrity endorsees, including multi-platinum recording artists Demi Lovato and Meghan Trainor, drummer Ringo Starr, model, actress Kelly Brook and boxing great Sugar Ray Leonard. The Skechers Performance Division ambassadors include elite marathon champion and Boston Marathon winner Meb and English television presenter Charlie Webster, who ran at the Skechers Performance Los Angeles Marathon; as well as a team of pro golfers that include Scotland’s Colin Montgomerie.
