Vinomofo kicks off New Zealand operations

vinomofoAustralian online wine retailer, Vinomofo, has launched its New Zealand site with a party in central Auckland last week.

The retailer’s co-founders Justin Dry and Andre Eikmeier launched the site to a crowd of wine lovers and entrepreneurs from New Zealand’s start-up community.

“We love the environment and the energy start-ups bring, the way they work together, the way they epitomise the best things about building a product and a company and taking on the world,” Dry said.

Eikmeier said the launch of the New Zealand site marks the company’s first steps into the global market and he’s excited for the company but also for the customers.

“For us it’s about finding and building that tribe of wine lovers who want to do good things in the world. We want to step up and explore and have fun and our customers, our tribe, want the same thing,” he said.

Vinomofo’s expansion in New Zealand is part of its aggressive global push in 2016.

On the back of a $25 million investment, Vinomofo will, this year, enter six global markets using a ‘lite’ model, including New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, the UK, US and China.

Vinomofo offers a full return policy that means customers can send back wine they’re not happy with for replacement, full refund, or credit as the customer wants. Vinomofo will also cover the return shipping cost so wine lovers can relax and enjoy the wine they like.
