Jewellery retailer, Kailis Australian Pearls, has partnered with David Jones Wellington as part of its plan to expand into retail locations in New Zealand.

Kailis jewellery has launched in David Jones Wellington late last month featuring a new collection, the Swan Suite, which is currently exclusive to the recently opened department store.

Mark Majzner, general manager of Kailis Australian Pearls, said the expansion was an exciting move for the brand.

“David Jones Wellington was chosen as our inaugural retail location in New Zealand as it’s a wonderful opportunity to showcase our best in class, luxury pearl jewellery products and provides accessibility to new customers,” Majzner said.

“Kailis jewellery is stocked in David Jones Melbourne, so this is a natural progression of our partnership with the high end retail store and also our brand’s growth.”

Other product items that will be available at the department store range from necklaces, bracelets, pendants, rings and earrings, all designed with untreated Australian South Sea pearls.

Kailis jewellery, which was founded by Michael Kailis CBE and Dr. Patricia Kailis AM, OBE in the late 1970s, has three retail boutiques in Western Australia, and a network of luxury stockists across Australia.
