Countdown, NZ Post expanding collection service

countdown Auckland metroNZ Post and Courier Post are expanding their supermarket parcel collection service following a successful trial in Auckland.

Packages will now be redirected to 38 Countdown supermarkets around the country for pick-up.

Countdown began trialling the service in 11 stores in December 2015, which has seen over 5000 parcels collected from the supermarket.

An additional 27 Countdown stores in Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington, Christchurch, and Dunedin will offer the collection service over the next month.

Parcels for collection are held at the Countdown service desk. Customers will be sent an e-mail by New Zealand Post as soon as their parcel arrives in store, advising them to collect it, with no additional service charge for the pick-up option.

Countdown currently offers this service in Auckland at St Lukes, Mt Eden, Greenlane, Grey Lynn, Grey Lynn Central, Newmarket, Three Kings, Auckland Metro, Auckland City, Takapuna and Glenfield Downing St.
