The Irish-owned drinks company, C&C Group, has signed a long-term deal with Coca-Cola Amatil, which will position its Magners and Tennents brands of cider for long-term market growth in New Zealand.
The C&C Group announced in a news release it will enter into a 10-year strategic partnership with Coca-Cola Amatil as a distribution and marketing partner in the country.
C&C and Coca-Cola Amatil have worked together under a distribution agreement on Magners in New Zealand since 2014. With the success of their agreement in the last two years, the two companies have agreed to new commercial terms.
“We are very optimistic about the future for our brands under this new agreement. This new strategic partnership will allow us to collaborate on a long term basis to ensure we position Magners and Tennents to participate in meaningful long-term market growth,” said C&C Group regional director for Asia Pacific, Conor Hardy.
Coca-Cola Amatil alcohol business manager for CCA NZ, Tim Jordan, said the new agreement gives them, “a strong platform on which to base the continued growth of these great brands in the New Zealand market”.
Coca-Cola Amatil NZ Ltd is the licensed bottler of the Coca-Cola Company in New Zealand, and have been in operation since the early 1900s.
The C&C Group manufactures Bulmers the Irish cider brand, Magners.
