Reduced cost Container Door retail

Container DoorThe retail model of group purchase startup company Container Door, founded by Ben Nathan recently, is being hailed as a new face of retail.

The model substantially reduces the cost of a product, even by as much as half, through group purchases.

This is because group purchases engender a special  production run in an Asian factory before the products are shipped to New Zealand via a container.
Container Door is a group buying and social shopping experience according to Nathan.

“It connects customers to some of the best deals that NZ has ever seen for products that have been handpicked, tested and approved by Container Door’s team.

“That’s right. Great products at way below regular retail prices – prices that are achieved through the harnessing of our members’ combined buying power that enables Container Door to negotiate some of the best prices ever seen!”

Products include sporting equipment, patio furniture, appliances, and homeware amongst many others.

Nathan has experience in this as he has been sourcing products from factories all over the world for the past 25 years. He currently visits factories abroad, predominantly China, to facilitate Kiwis obtaining what they want more affordably.

All products have a warranty and are guaranteed.

“Container Door is effectively a NZ GST registered company with a physical showroom in Auckland,” explains Nathan. “This means consumers can resort to the Commerce Commission in the event of faulty service or a faulty product.”
