Retail NZ’s new business advisor

retail nz linnleyneumannRetail NZ has appointed Linnley Neumann as its new business advisor.

She is working in conjunction with Tash Pieterse and will be fielding calls on a part-time basis from 9am to 12:45pm on Tuesdays, 8:30am  to 5pm on Wednesdays and 9am to 12h45pm on Thursdays.

Linnley brings to the table a double degree in Psychology and Commerce from the University of Otago, and a wealth of experience and knowledge from her previous work experience at EECA, Weta, Oxfam and Treasury NZ.

Linnley is proficient at providing generalist HR advisory services to both national and international clients, implementing strategic HR initiatives, and establishing HR processes, policies and systems.

According to Linnley, she took up the role because no two days are the same in retail. “Retail can be a really dynamic and fast-paced environment, so it’s great to be able to support managers and owners through that ride,” she says.

Linnley loves those “light bulb” moments where managers realise that good HR practice can really add value to their business. She says, “It’s really important to get the HR foundations right. From there, I hope to work with managers to find other ways HR can add even more value.”

One of her favourite quotes is, “Be the kind of person you would like to hang out with.”

Members can reach Linnley on Retail NZ’s business advisory line: 04 805 0835.
