Trade Me appoints exec

Trademe Staff from the balcony of their offices in the NZX building.Trade Me has appointed Stuart McLean to its executive team, and to lead it’s general items marketplace.

McLean will take up the position in February 2015.

“It’s fantastic to have someone of such high calibre joining us – Stuart’s strong experience and great energy is going to be a real asset for Trade Me,” Jon Macdonald, Trade Me CEO, said.

“Trade Me is one of New Zealand’s best-known businesses and has a unique place in the hearts of Kiwis. I can’t wait to help Trade Me press on with its plans for growth,” McLean said.

McLean is currently the Xero CRO.

He has previously worked for Google in Australia as head of enterprise for Australia and New Zealand.

He has also previously held executive positions at Oracle and Chandler MacLeod, and founded as ran a distributor for NetSuite.
